Tommy came home last Saturday fried to a crisp, banged up and bruised. Scout Camp, Baby! : ) He had a pretty good time. . . Just flipped over the top of his bike while riding down a mountain earlier that morning. . Chest and left arm covered with scrapes and bruises. And I never will understand why boys typically can’t seem to remember to put sunscreen on. It seems like such a no brainer! Especially after you’ve been burned once or twice! I don’t get it. No. Thank. You. Anyway, after several days of aloe vera treatments, takin’ it easy, and staying out of the sun, he seems to be almost a hundred percent back to normal. : )
Ah, memories!
I remember once, or maybe more, Eric was sent off to the week-long campout with a bag of freshly packed, well organized clothing and gear. After 5 days of dirt, swimming, and various other activities, he returned home. In the same outfit. Not having changed once. With the same bag still mostly packed.
It makes a mother wonder. . . Is that twitch above my right eye because of genuine concern for the welfare of my child, or because of outright bewilderment? Dubious, astounded dismay?
And then there was the age-old adage: Boys will be boys! : ) Well, clearly they don’t have the same set of priorities as their Mommies! Sigh. . . But it’s always fun to hear the story! The explanation. Their side of things. Gives Mama a whole new perspective! A glimpse into the mind of the teenage boy. . .
Twitch. . . twitch. . . .

I wear sunscreen very frequently. Mountain biking sounds fun.
